Lean Healthcare is on the rise. We receive more and more requests to implement Lean within Hospitals. It is always great to see how the “simple” things like kanban two box system can lead to such high client satisfaction. In addition, I realized that some KPIs in some Hospitals really reflect “customer value” like:
- Number of unexpected death
- Number of wrong sided amputation
If I am in the need to chose a hospital for an amputation, I will go for one which measures the number of wrong sided amputation for quite some time an achieved a ZERO within the last 6 month.
